Stunning

open air theatre

Take a trip from Mousehole down the coast, passing Lamorna Cove, Tater-du Lighthouse and Logan’s Rock until you reach the stunning sight of Porthcurno Beach and The Minack Theatre.

The Minack Theatre is Cornwall’s world famous open-air theatre, carved into the granite cliff and set in glorious gardens overlooking the spectacular panorama of Porthcurno Bay.

The minack theatre

Sculpted

into the cliff

The Minack Theatre was a labour of love for the astonishing woman who built it – Rowena Cade – carved out of the granite using little more than her own bare hands, and the sub-tropical gardens have become an established favourite, especially for gardeners with a taste for the exotic. The succulent plants thrive on the open cliffside providing an added dash of colour to the Minack all year round. Get a unique view of this stunning landmark few visitors ever get to see from the comfort and safety of the Cormorant.
