As Summer gets fully underway we make the most of the sunshine celebrating one of Cornwall’s most famous residents, enjoying the agricultural delights of Stithians and immersing ourselves fully into the growing Lafrowda Arts festival – a two week community extravaganza. Come and join us!

Festival

This is now a two week community arts festival. The festival has parades throughout the day featuring local schools, workshops for all ages during the preceding fortnight and the town square has stalls and entertainment during festival day.

Agricultural Show

Cornwall’s biggest one day agricultural show originally started as a competition between local parishioners to see who could grow the best vegetables, raise the finest cattle and breed the greatest horses. Today, enjoy musical entertainment, food courts, craft stalls, shopping opportunities around the Showground, a fairground, animals of all sorts including rare breeds, a dog show and dog agility competitions and craft and cookery competitions in the Domestic Marquee and Horticultural Marquee there are flower arrangements and more.

Festival

Organised in honour of Launceston’s famous poet and a son of Cornwall.

As well as pop-up restaurants, there will also be live chef demonstrations, open fire cooking, a great selection of street food stalls from local producers and a range of family entertainment.
